Idag signerte Leeds United, Preston North End keeperen Andrew Lonergan på en 3.års kontrakt for en uviss sum. Leeds har vært ute etter Lonergan en stund og det har også flere Premier League klubber vært, blandt annet Everton har vist sin interesse i den tidligere U21 landslagspilleren!
Simon Grayson snakket ut om den nye signeringen:

Contrary to the speculation we weren't chasing a lot of goalkeepers, Andy was always my number one choice, and I'm delighted we could bring him here.
He's played many games in the Championship and has been linked with many moves to the Premier League which speaks volumes about him. He can't wait to get started and we're looking forward to working with him.
It adds competition to our goalkeeping position which I was wanted to do. Andy knows Paul Rachubka has done well in pre-season so the competition will good. I'm looking forward to the battle between the two of them.
